To be a scientist, the most important thing we need is to have great ambition, which is the driving force that keeps us achieving our goals.
Secondly, we must have courage and perseverance because it is not an easy thing to do scientific research. As we all know, Madame Curie was famous for her perseverance while she was researching into radium. She failed many times but she never gave up. It was her perseverance that led to one of the most important discoveries in history. Besides, we need to be hard-working. We have to devote most of our time and energy to scientific research so that we can make a difference to the world.

Feel Happier Today When I learned that the most popular course in the history of Yale University—a psychology class designed to teach students how to become happier—was available online to anyone who wanted to take it,I decided I had to see what it was all about. After all,I've been writing about happiness for years, offering techniques and advice from researchers who found that this idea or that habit can boost well-being.I was curious to see what Yale professor Laurie Santos was recommending, but I assumed I'd already be familiar with many of the concepts. So I invited my husband,Ian,to take the course with me.I wanted to see how someone who hadn't heard it all before reacted.
Santos's online course consists of 19 hours of video lectures and is supposed to take ten weeks to complete, but Ian and I spent three months soaking up what she had to offer. We learned that the things we tend to think will make us happier—bigger paychecks, nicer homes, slimmer bodies—don'辯山t actually add joy to our lives. But practices such as exercising more, socializing, getting enough sleep, and enjoying free time over making money do. "These constant practices are really what's required to increase your happiness," Santos told me after Ian and I completed her course. "It's like a tire that you put air into.Occasionally it leaks, and you have to put more air into it.It's not a one-time thing where you learn it and you'數灶裂re good. You actually have to put the work in."
Some people believe famous people’s support towards international aid organizations draws the attention to problems. While other think celebrities make the problems less important. Discuss both views and give your opinion. (2019/04/13)
4月13日考的這道題是整個上半年構思難度極高的一道題目,也是一道老題,很多有望上6的考生都因為這道題的構思問題,變成5.5分。

Good afternoon, my dear friends,
I'm glad to hear your stories and I'd liketo share my story with you.
Last Sunday, while I was playing myfavourite computer game in the living room, my computer suddenly broke down. Itseemed that it had been attacked by a virus. My granny came over and asked mewhat was wrong. As soon as I explained to her what had happened, she told methat she could help me to get rid of the virus. So I went to do my homework inmy bedroom.
An hour later, I came out and asked grannyhow things were getting along. She told me she was killing the virus. To mysurprise, she was giving the computer a transfusion!
You see, such is my granny, a kind-heartedold lady, who is always ready to help me out!
Thank you!

One possible version:
The causes of traffic jams
The problem of traffic jams is becoming serious in our city. There are several causes of this problem.
In my view, the first cause is the great increase in private cars. Cars take up more space but they carry fewer people. The second one is the slow improvement of the roads. With a large population and numbers of automobiles increasing, some roads still remain unimproved, which is a big problem. The last cause is that some people don’t obey the traffic rules. Many people cross the streets even when the traffic lights are red, which affects the flow of traffic.
Traffic jams are an urgent problem because they concern our life and work. However, the solution to the problem relies on the efforts of everyone.
